In the middle of busy schedules and endless to-do lists, I often find peace in sketching. No screens, no notifications, just a pencil, paper and an hour that belongs to nobody else.

This one is Shree Krishna. I started it late on a weeknight after a long release day, and the thing I noticed is how differently your brain works when the only deadline is your own patience.

Why a developer should draw

Project management and development are both about holding a hundred details in your head at once. Sketching does the opposite: it narrows everything down to one line at a time.

  • It resets attention after long days of context switching
  • It trains proportion and spacing, the same instinct good layout needs
  • It is one of the few hobbies with no version control conflicts

I am not a trained artist and I never will be. That is the point. Doing something badly, slowly, for the joy of it, is a good counterweight to a career built on shipping things correctly and fast.
